TEACHING EXCELLENCE AWARDS

 Teaching Excellence at Lethbridge Polytechnic

Each year, the Lethbridge Polytechnic Faculty Association (LPFA), and the Lethbridge Polytechnic Students’ Association (LPSA) team up to present Teaching Excellence Awards to some of the best instructors at our institution. Students nominate instructors they believe deserve recognition for their contributions in the classroom. Last year there were 198 nominations across the Polytechnic. From those 198 nominations two instructors were chosen as the 2024- 2025 award recipients.

Nominations for the 2025-26 academic year will run from Monday February 2nd, 2026 until Friday March 13th, 2026. Get your nominations in early.

This year the two awards that will be handed out are:

Rookie of the Year - A first year instructor who demonstrates Teaching Excellence within the classroom.
Teaching Excellence - A seasoned instructor who demonstrates Teaching Excellence within the classroom.
